Open and read a PDF

Verified with Resrch 0.2.0Windows / macOS / Linux

  1. Enter the editor workspace.
  2. If no tab is open, select Open File. You can also open a folder first and choose a PDF from Explorer.
  3. In the operating-system file picker, select one PDF file.
  4. Wait for the document tab and native PDF surface to appear.

PDF rendering is local. Resrch uses its native PDF pipeline and can fall back between supported rendering paths when necessary. Opening a local PDF does not by itself mean the file has been uploaded or added to a cloud library.

If the file cannot be opened, keep the full visible error, confirm that the path is still readable, and follow Troubleshooting.
